"I often have trouble calling myself an artist" Kwanele AKA Finch is a South African/ Portuguese born artist. He spent most of childhood under the hands of Indian Foster Parents then later found his mom at the age of 16. Finch is interested in the politics of his cultural belonging, society's misguided text and media language.
Under his work is PINA (2019), Sounds of Men (2018), Law of Bondage (2020) and most recently PINA AMAHUBO (2022). As a choreographer and visual artist, his work grapples with the very aspects of society, he unearths the narrative that has been forgotten and thus his work is controversial and provoking. He has written Psychology of a Pandemic Mind (2021) and short stories that are meant to piece together his lost parts. He has released Tears of a KING (2022) and Contemporary Dance Art in a post pandemic South Africa for South African Schools. |

Finch is also the Head Coach for a dance series JIVA which airs on Netflix. Further, he is the Talent Manager of Kwanele Kollective Africa. |
